Swept under the rug

The quiet approach to the landscape has been lost in the social era, with it being taken over by the popularised picturesque. In a world in a global pandemic, everything is feeling post-apocalyptic, which will be the result of global warming and climate change. Looking at the picturesque landscapes and asking if they portray an accurate view of the current climate. Or do they just provide simple escapism so that we don't have to face the realism and the consequences of our actions? Have the conventions of the picturesque concealed and manipulated societies view of ecology and nature, cultivating blindness to the real impacts we are having. 2020
