Egypt 23 ‘Echoes’

"Echoes" invites you to contemplate the interplay between time and human existence, where the ruins of ancient empires and the ruins of our recent past converge.

"Echoes" talks of the profound juxtaposition between the ancient Egyptian capital and the post-COVID ruins of our modernity. Drawing parallels between the enduring legacies of civilisations past and the transient nature of our contemporary comforts. Seeking to explore the transient nature of human endeavours and its interplay in  history

As I explored the hallowed grounds of Egypt's ancient capital, awestruck by the monumental structures that have withstood the test of millennia. The grandeur of the temples, and tombs, once thriving with life and purpose, now stand as enigmatic sentinels of history.

Beyond these timeless marvels, I turned towards the ruins of hotels and amenities left abandoned in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. These modern ruins, once bustling with tourists, now lay in disrepair and solitude. The echoes of laughter and conversation are replaced by an eerie silence.
